Advanced Wood Treatment

Thermal Modification

Chemical free thermal modification enhances wood durability, dimensional stability, and resistance, delivering high performance timber solutions suitable for exterior, structural, and demanding environmental applications.

Certified Thermal Modification Process

Digifortis operates a modern heat treatment plant dedicated to the production of thermally modified softwoods and hardwoods. The thermal modification process involves exposing timber to controlled high temperatures under precise conditions, without the use of chemicals or additives. This treatment permanently alters the wood’s cellular structure, significantly improving durability, dimensional stability, and resistance to moisture, decay, and biological attack.

Certified heat treated sawn timber is produced at Digifortis’ factory in Jebel Ali, with additional processing and storage support from the Abu Dhabi yard. The process ensures consistent quality across multiple wood species while meeting international heat treatment standards. Thermally modified timber is suitable for exterior, structural, and demanding environmental applications where long term performance, reduced maintenance, and environmental responsibility are critical requirements.

Advanced Heat Treatment Technology

Digifortis operates a modern heat treatment plant designed specifically for the thermal modification of both softwoods and hardwoods. The process uses precisely controlled high temperatures to alter the wood’s internal structure without the use of chemicals, preservatives, or additives. This treatment reduces the wood’s ability to absorb moisture, improves dimensional stability, and increases resistance to decay and biological degradation.

Thermal modification also enhances performance consistency across different climatic conditions. By permanently modifying the wood at a cellular level, Digifortis ensures that treated timber exhibits reduced swelling, shrinkage, and warping. This makes thermally modified timber particularly suitable for exterior applications, architectural use, and environments where long term stability and durability are critical performance requirements.

Production Capabilities Locations

Digifortis’ thermal modification operations are supported by dedicated production and logistics facilities located in strategic industrial hubs within the United Arab Emirates.

Certified heat treated timber is produced and processed through Digifortis’ integrated operational network to ensure quality control and supply reliability.
